Obtaining NAP credits is simple.

Along with your donation you’ll complete an application that we will send to the state on your behalf.  A few weeks later, the Missouri Department of Economic Development will send you a letter indicating you have a tax credit for half the amount you donated. 

If your donation was $5,000, for example, you will receive a Missouri state tax credit for $2,500.  When you file your taxes in April you will get to pay $2,500 less; or if you don’t owe anything, you’ll get $2,500 back.  This is in addition to the tax deduction you will receive for your initial gift. 

What’s more, you can use your credits in the tax year the donation is made or spread them out over the next five years.  Your financial planner can assist you with your best strategy.

  • Banks/Other financial institutions
  • Corporations
  • Express Companies
  • Insurance Companies
  • Limited Liability Companies
  • Partnerships
  • S-Corporations
  • Individuals (sole proprietors, farm orperators, rental property owners or those receiving royalties or honorarium income)
