Former St. Patrick Center CEO Amanda Laumeyer Joins Peter & Paul Community Services as Chief Operating Officer

Amanda Laumeyer will join PPCS as the COO.

St. Louis, March 8, 2024 — Peter & Paul Community Services (PPCS) announces that Amanda Laumeyer will be joining the executive leadership team at PPCS starting in April as Chief Operating Officer.

“We are incredibly fortunate and elated to have Amanda join our team. Her expertise and skillset make her the ideal candidate to help guide our imminent expansion to better serve people facing homelessness,” said PPCS CEO Anthony D’Agostino. “Amanda and I previously worked together, and there is absolutely no one I would trust more in this crucial role.”

“I am inspired by the commitment I see at PPCS to do more to meet the growing need for affordable, safe living spaces in St. Louis,”

In her role, Laumeyer will lead professional development and help guide strategic direction and program growth as well as fundraising, human resources, and other executive functions of the agency. “I am inspired by the commitment I see at PPCS to do more to meet the growing need for affordable, safe living spaces in St. Louis,” said Laumeyer. “This winter was another lesson in the ongoing need for shelter. There is good work happening in our region among homeless services providers, and I am thrilled to bring my passion to PPCS while continuing to support people experiencing homelessness.”

Laumeyer brings nearly nine years of experience in homeless services at St. Patrick Center (SPC) where she served as a member of the executive team and led the organization’s community engagement, fundraising and marketing efforts. In April 2023 she was appointed CEO succeeding D’Agostino in that role after his departure to take the reins at PPCS. During her time at SPC, Laumeyer established best practices which led to growth in fundraising, marketing, and community outreach. She has been regularly recognized for her work in building community partnerships, expanding workforce development programs, and bringing more affordable housing opportunities and shelter beds to the region. Prior to SPC her career has been spent in social services, with the past 11 years focusing on nonprofit leadership.

Laumeyer is a member of FOCUS St. Louis, the region’s premier nonprofit leadership organization; committee member of the St. Patrick’s Day Parade & Run, where she was recognized as the 2023 Volunteer of the Year; Class 68 Women in Leadership FOCUS St. Louis Alumni; member of Association of Fundraising Professionals St. Louis; and former board member of Nonprofit Marketers of St. Louis.

She also volunteers as a speaker for the Annual Catholic Appeal for the Archdiocese of St. Louis and as an agency speaker for United Way of Greater St. Louis. Laumeyer resides in St. Louis with her husband and son.

The role of COO at PPCS was last held by Adam Cisroe Pearson in April 2023. Pearson left to become the current Director of Human Services for the City of St. Louis. The COO role had intentionally been left vacant until Laumeyer’s hire while PPCS focused on site acquisition for expanding their beds available for men who are homeless.
